The Washington Parish Drug Task Force has been reconfigured to work in tandem with the newly formed Street Crimes Action Team which now allows agents of the Drug Taskforce to focus on long term investigations.  These long term investigations now make it possible to put in the man hours it takes to arrest the mid to top level narcotics dealers in our parish.  The Taskforce works aggressively to keep drug traffic down in Washington Parish.

Our Street Crime Action Team (SCAT) has proven a great asset to the department by increasing the number of arrests in high crime areas and adding reinforcement for patrol units.  The SCAT team targets High Drug and Crime areas and saturates these areas during peak crime hours.  This technique helps to keep the overall Crime rate of the parish down.  The SCAT team works in tandem with the Drug Taskforce providing valuable intelligence for further investigations.
